As an SGA recognized organization on the University of Maryland’s campus, Terp Thon invites all University of Maryland students to our annual Dance Marathon event in the Reckord Armory.
Students are considered visitors at our Dance Marathon event if they have not hit our Dancer Minimum of $120. As a visitor, students may watch and participate in ongoing activities; however, visitors are unable to receive an event shirt, hospital band name-tag, or either of the meals during the event.
If a student hits Dancer Minimum during the event, they may exchange their visitor pass for an event shirt and nametag and will then be eligible to enjoy the provided food.
In order to gain access to Terp Thon’s Dance Marathon event students must:
- Register on Terp Thon’s DonorDrive page and provide accurate emergency contact information via Ter.ps/TerpThon21
- Check-in at the Visitor Check-In table in the Armory lobby the morning of Dance Marathon. At the Check-In table visitors will be receive a visitor badge where they must write their name and emergency contact information on the back of the badge. Students’ entrance and exit time will also be written on a form at the check-in table.
- Visibly wear their Visitor badge while they are on the Armory premise
- When leaving, check out at the Visitor table and return their badge
Terp Thon aims to unite our campus to inspire hope and healing for the patients and families at Children’s National Hospital. We invite students of all backgrounds to help us achieve this mission.
